Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa (Habitat GO) is a non-profit organization that mobilizes volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty.

Since 1993, the non-profit has served 72 families in the Greater Ottawa area, which include over 175 children.  Habitat GO mobilizes volunteers, sponsors, donors and tradespeople to provide families with strength, stability and independence through affordable housing.

Thirteen of these homes are in the Orléans area and this spring, Habitat GO has completed Phase 1 of its largest development to date at the corner of Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard and Fortune Drive this spring.  The Leacross Landing Development in Orléans will be home to 16 local families with Phase II underway this summer. The first four families received keys to their new Habitat homes on 15 June 2018.  Planned construction of all townhomes is set for 2019-2020.
